Rozina Vavetsi, M.Sc., Selected as a Fulbright U.S. Scholar

Associate Professor of Digital Art and Design Rozina Vavetsi, M.Sc., will travel to the University of Johannesburg in South Africa, where she will teach and research human-centered, participatory design and the decolonization of the curriculum.

School Events

Accreditation

The School of Architecture and Design offers two professional architectural degree programs accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB):

  • The Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program (160 credits) has been awarded  NAAB Continuing Accreditation status. The next B.Arch accreditation visit is scheduled for 2025.
  • The Master of Architecture (M.Arch) program, Track I (90 credit hours) and Track II (pre-professional degree + 60 hours)  was awarded NAAB Initial Accreditation in 2022 and has been granted Continuing Candidacy status. The accreditation visit for Continuing Accreditation is scheduled for 2025.

The interior design program leading to the Interior Design, B.F.A. is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation. The CIDA-accredited program prepares students for entry-level interior design practice, for advanced study, and to apply for membership in professional interior design organizations. The program has been accredited by CIDA since March 1984. The 2019 CIDA visit resulted in a six-year professional-level accreditation through 2025.


The Interior Design, B.F.A. granted by New York Institute of Technology School of Architecture and Design meets the educational requirement for eligibility to sit for the National Council for Interior Design Qualification Examination (NCIDQ Exam).
